If you are regular reader on this blog, you might have noticed that things have been very quiet for the last 2 weeks. That's because I was taking a holiday in Asia, including a little stopover in Singapore, one of the countries I used to live in. And in fact, probably the best place I have ever lived.
If you've been to Singapore, you will know that everyone speaks English, but not as you know it: Singlish. It's English, with Chinese grammar, plus words from some different Chinese dialects, Malay and Tamil thrown in.
Want to know more? Read this article from the BBC and watch the video to hear some real Singlish.
My blog has changed! If you're looking for my English-practice exercises, they're all still here, just look in the archives.
