Catherine is passionate about the neuroscience and psychology of learning, second language acquisition and communication across cultures, as well as entrepreneurship. She spent 7 years working for the British Council in Japan and Singapore. At the same time, she ran her own retail and wholesale online business, selling Asian deco and accessories in the UK.
She then moved to Paris, where she worked with business executives and taught language and communication skills in several Grandes Écoles. Paris was not sunny enough, so she moved to Grasse, the world capital of perfume, and now runs Aygen Training full-time. When she is not training clients, she is learning about and experiencing the highs and lows of having your own business in France.
She has a Masters in Linguistics, a diploma in TESOL and is a certified Neurolanguage Coach® and intercultural communication trainer.
She speaks 5 languages, so she can understand exactly what her clients are experiencing!
Annabel is an English Literature graduate with a strong business background. She spent 10 years working in Public Relations and Marketing in London, Australia and Spain, before qualifying with TEFL/TESOL to become a Business English teacher.
She has since worked with many students, from Beginner to Advanced levels, across a wide range of industries. She has developed flexible methods that provide personalised lessons and deliver quantifiable objectives to help her students work more efficiently in English.
She moved to the Cote d'Azur in 2012 and lives in Grasse with her family.
